Project Overview
The Unbreakable Rule is a top-down stealth game where the player switches between the playable characters and is forced to use each character's unique abilities to get past or kill guards, save the hostages, and escape.
My Contributions
I was one of the lead programmers for this project. I created the guard pathing and detection, I also helped with the level design. I also programmed the hostages and the conditions that allow for the player to exit the level.
The Unbreakable Rule follows two hired guns that were hired to take down a brothel that is employing children. Goodman Grey and Viti have their own unique set of skills that help with taking down guards and saving the hostages. Grey has the ability to shapeshift into animals where Viti has hacking abilities. Both characters are in separate rooms and the player must switch between controlling them in order to save the hostages and escape each room. Viti can open doors for Goodman Grey. Viti can also put up weapons that he finds to take out the guards. Goodman Grey is able to collect items that allow him to transform into different animals like a rat and a bear, that can be used in different situations.
